January Meeting Announcement

The Dawson County Republican Party will be holding its monthly meeting, Monday, January 19th, at the Professional Building at 30 Main Street, near the Board of Education building, in Dawsonville. The meeting starts at 6:00 PM with a social "hour," followed by the official meeting which begins at 6:30 PM. Refreshments are provided via donation.
We have two guest speakers this month, Wayne Rowan, who is running for state Representative for District 9, and Dr. Randell Trammell, who is running for GA State Superintendent of Schools.
Mr. Rowan is proud to have spent many years in the construction industry, helping people achieve the "American Dream" of owning a home. Have recently successfully battled cancer, he plans to bring that same fighting spirit and determination to Atlanta when representing the residents of District 9 by addressing the state's large budget surplus, making large corporations pay their fair share and monitoring their hiring practices regarding illegal immigrants and eliminating the state max impact fee so communities can better control the population growth in their area. Check out Wayne's campaign website here.
Dr. Trammell has a long and multi-faceted career in education, including numerous awards, authorship of six children's books and the founding of the Georgia Center for Civic Engagement, of which he is now President and CEO. His issues for his campaign include increased school safety, transparency of school programs and operations, career-readiness for graduates and programs to increase literacy of all Georgia students. Check out Dr. Trammell's website here.
